Calling all radio amateurs, calling all radio amateurs…get on the air!
The ARRL Rookie Roundup (SSB), is being held on Sunday, April 18, 2021. Coincidence or not, it this event is occurring on the same day as World Amateur Radio Day.
The mission of the ARRL Rookie Roundup is to encourage newly-licensed operators (“Rookies”) in North America (including territories and possessions) to operate on the HF bands and experience competitive Amateur Radio operating. Experienced operators (“Non-Rookies”) are strongly encouraged to participate and help new operators – either on the air or in person.
The overall objective is for Rookies to exchange information with as many other stations as possible on the 80, 40, 20, 15, and 10 meter HF bands.
For additional information regarding this event, including rules and regulations, please see the contest page on the ARRL website.
